**2025 Tournament & Shootout Early Bird Special: Register for any of our 2025 Official American Basketball Circuit Spring & Summer Basketball Tournaments or Shootouts by February 1, 2025 and Get $25 Off per event!
Tournaments vs. Shootouts:
A Question that is asked all of the time is: What is the difference between a Tournament and a Shootout?”
All Official American Basketball Circuit Tournaments guarantee a minimum of Games with an opportunity to advance to Championship Rounds following Pool Play. The winners of Tournaments get awards.
OABC 1 Day Shootouts allow teams to choose how many total games they want to play. For 1 Day Shootouts, teams will play all their games in 1 venue (if at all possible) on the same day. There are no Championships in Shootouts.
Game Time Requests:
For the past 18 years, BSA has worked with Coaches and Program Directors to make attending an event as great as possible. We try to honor all game time requests. For the most part, teams coming from over 2 hours away will not play on Friday nights unless they choose to.
Live Streaming: All Official American Basketball Circuit Games will be broadcast on BallerTV!
Host Hotels:
Beginning in 2025, we have partnered with Traveling Teams to provide the lowest prices for Hotel Rooms. All Tournaments are now Stay to Play for teams coming from more than 2 hours away.
Tournament Venues:
Basketball Stars of America uses the best venues in Western PA for its Tournaments. A list of Venues & Addresses is available on the Venues Page.
Live Weekend Events:
On the following 2025 Spring & Summer Weekends, we plan to host Live Weekend Events for Boys & Girls in 9th to 12th Grade: April 25-27 (Girls), May 16-18 (Boys & Girls), July 11-13 (Boys & Girls) and July 18-20 (Boys & Girls). For these events, please note that Coaches must follow the NCAA Guidelines:
Boys & Girls Teams (9th Grade and Up) need to do the following in order to be eligible to participate in NCAA-certified events:
- The NCAA basketball certification website and FAQ page (www.ncaa.org/basketballcertification
& https://ncaa.egain.cloud/kb/ECAG/home) – because this page includes links to user resource quick-reference guides and manuals including guidelines and step by step instructions for participants.
2. The USA Basketball Gold License link (https://community.usab.com) – because all individuals involved in coaching activities will need to obtain a USAB Gold License. (Returning users should RENEW their previous account and NOT create a new one.)
3. The Basketball Certification System (BBCS) link (http://bbcs.ncaa.org) – because team organizations, coaches, and athletes need to be registered in this database. (Returning coach and athlete users should RENEW their previous account and NOT create a new one.)
